Neighborhood Quick Solutions
Posted on Dec 15th, 2023
Your Board of Directors is always concerned about any nuisance that affects the members of the association. Such nuisances are usually addressed by the association’s violation procedure. Occasionally, however, individual residents can obtain quick solutions to certain home annoyances by placing a telephone call. You may wish to try these numbers for the following types of nuisances:
  • Barking dogs, wild or unattended animals:
    • Animal Control of Orange County, (714) 834-7419
  • Loud parties that extend past reasonable hours:
    • Brea Police Department, (714) 990-7625
  • The observation of mice or rats:
    • Vector Control of Orange County, (714) 971-2421
IMPORTANT: Updating Contact Information
Posted on Oct 1st, 2023
There are times when Management or the Association needs to reach homeowners and we are not able to get in contact with them for several months. Many times we hear, “I was out of the country” or “I rent my home.” The governing documents require that you maintain your property regardless if you are living there or are away. If you are not going to be at your home for a significant period of time, please notify Management so that we can update your contact information.

Traveling- Even if you are only traveling for a brief period of time you should designate someone to check on your property! Not many things would be worse than coming home to a flooded house or finding out that someone broke into your home. Property damage can be significantly reduced by designating a friend or neighbor to check on your property!

Rental- If you are using your home as a rental property, please provide Management with your off-site address. This is very important so that you can still receive important Association communication.

To update your contact information (off-site address, phone number, and e-mail) please e-mail customercare.ca@fsresidential.com.

Planning to Paint?
Posted on Jan 31st, 2023
Many homeowners are looking to freshen up the exterior paint of their homes. Paint schemes may be accessed on Dunn-Edwards’s website:
https://www.dunnedwards.com/colors/archive/color-ark_pro and enter Brea Olinda in the Search by Keyword tab. There are 33 schemes for the community- something for everyone!

Still unsure what would look best on your home? Dunn-Edwards provides a complimentary service where you can submit a photo of your house and they will “paint” the photo with the proposed scheme for you to view

As a reminder, before you build it, install it, change it or paint it, you must receive approval by the Architectural Review Committee. Please contact FirstService Residential for assistance at lori.martinez@fsresidential.com or 949-448-6094.
Make Water Conservation a Way of Life!

Water conservation remains important in order to protect water supply. Wasteful practices are prohibited under statewide restrictions which are permanent.
  • Watering may never occur between the hours of 10am and 4pm.
  • Outdoor automated irrigation* is limited to once a week (Wednesday) from October through April and three days a week (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) from May through September.
  • Sprinklers may never run for longer than 10 minutes per cycle.
  • No watering during 48 hours after a rain event
Report water waste and excessive flows by calling City of Brea Public Works Water Division at 714-990-7691. Please provide the address, date and time of the observed violation.

*The Association irrigation has a different watering schedule with the City of Brea.
REMINDER: PARKING RULES
Posted on Jan 1st, 2021
Please be courteous to your neighbors by following some basic guidelines when parking on the streets:
• If you must park on the street, please park in front of your own house.
• Do not block the mailboxes. The postal carrier is not required to exit their vehicle to deliver the mail. If there is no space at the mailbox to pull over safely, then they will not deliver the mail.
• For safety, code, and aesthetic purposes, between 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., parking on all public streets within the City of Brea is restricted to no longer than 30 minutes (Municipal Code Section 10.24.030).  Vehicles continuously parked on public streets during these hours may be cited for a parking violation on any day of the year—holidays included. Overnight on-street parking is by permit only for those residents with qualifying situations. For more information on the city’s requirements, please visit: http://www.ci.brea.ca.us/188/Overnight-Parking.
